In Tune available on BBC Iplayer

Rebecca had a wonderfully warm welcome back to the BBC In Tune studio this week.

For the next 27 days, you can catch up online with BBC Radio 3 In Tune, presented by Sean Rafferty on Thursday 11th October. Together with pianist Timothy End, Rebecca opened the programme, discussing her performances for Nova Music Opera on Sunday 21st October in the London premiere of Juliana and the ongoing tour of La Traviata with Welsh National Opera, singing a total of four items which you can hear again by following the link below.



BBC In Tune appearance this week

Rebecca will be performing live on Radio 3’s In Tune on Thursday 11th October, together with pianist Timothy End. She looks forward to joining Sean Rafferty to talk about her current appearances as Flora in Welsh National Opera’s La Traviata and the London première of Joseph Phibbs’ new chamber opera Juliana, which was met with critical acclaim at the Cheltenham and Presteigne Festivals earlier this year.

JULIANA comes to London this Autumn

Following the World Premiere at Cheltenham Festival in July and a Welsh Premiere at   Presteigne Festival in August, JULIANA will be performed in London at St. John’s Smith Square on Sunday 21st October. There will be a pre performance talk commencing at 19:00.

Joseph Phibbs’ new chamber opera, Juliana, based on Strindberg’s Miss Julie, will premiere in the final event of the 2018 Cheltenham Festival at Parabola Arts Centre, Cheltenham Ladies’ College. The event has been highlighted in this week’s Guardian Culture section and tickets are available by following this link

Exciting repertoire for Spring 2019

Rebecca will be delighted to sing again with the RPO in their Seeking New Horizons : Political Protest series next Spring.

She will be performing in the final item of the concert, The Three Cornered Hat by Manuel De Falla at Cadogan Hall with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on Thursday 25th April 2019 at 19:30.

The programme also includes Wagner Overture and Venusberg Music from Tannhäuser and Rachmaninov Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, all conducted by Alexander Shelley, with soloist Vadym Kholodenko at the piano for an evening of musical fireworks!
